In sensitive areas such as ICU wards and during anaesthesia, point of care measurements are a prerequisite for quick decisions that need to be taken on the basis of laboratory values. datalabXpoct creates the data connection between decentrally deployed devices and the laboratory. From an organizational point of view, identification of the patient and allocation of the sample findings is the central issue. In principle, there is no laboratory request and therefore no sample label from the laboratory. The capture and transmission of a case number is a prerequisite for automatic allocation (e.g. by means of a barcode reader).
Where it is impossible to capture the case number, or where this is not transmitted electronically, item case allocation can be performed manually using POCT Assistant. This is a web mask based on Web 2.0 technology that can also be called up from another program with the appropriate parameters populated.
