- datalabX depot is a software package for management and administration of a hospital blood depot, and is either integrated into datalab X or is available separately as an independent product
- datalabX depot is the product of extremely close collaboration between professionals from the relevant areas of medicine, as is the case with datalab X
- datalabX depot can also be integrated just as easily into a HIS environment
- datalabX depot is ISBT 128 capable, and complies with transfusion medicine guidelines
Patients
All required data and all operations associated with the patient as the receiver of a blood product are made availabe and supported by the system.
- Access to administrative and medical patient data from a HIS
- Capture of patient data in the laboratory in emergencies
- Amalgamation of multiple recordings of patients
- Patient-specific reservation of blood units
- Patient-specific overview of all transfused blood units
- Patien-specific transfusion documentation
Blood depot administration
- Capture and storage of blood units delivered, either manually, by means of a barcode reader or a data medium accompanying the units
- Requests either emanate from the HIS oder be executed in datalabX depot
- Reservations of a blood unit roe one oder more patients is also possible
- Cross-matching, blood groups, Rh factor and antibody, as well as numerous other required laboratory analyses are handled as requests by the integrated laboratory component of datalabX, and are displayed after release
- Handout of blood units reserved for a specific person, multiple reserved blood units and uncrossed units are possible. The user's attention is drawn to the specific situation by means of a warning notice. Issue requires reading and cross-reading of the barcode field
- Removal from storage for dispatch and destruction
- Transfusion feedback is generated after administration, and any possible incidents during transfusion are documented
- Storage information can be individually arranged via selection lists for quick, targeted information about specific products
- Blood unit history provides a precise log of what occured for a blood unit and when
- Ordering/provision of the system allows the necessary blood units to be ordered from selected suppliers and for a specific patients, if required. However, the provisioning option can also be selected if crossed blood units have already been ordered from the supplying blood bank. These blood units are either already booked out by the system when taken into storage or are administered independently of the book-in process
